Missouri Youth of the Year
Juliette W.
Parkview sophomore and member of Musgrave Unit BGC, Juliette was named Missouri Youth of the Year. The Youth of the Year title recognizes a young person committed to leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to live a healthy lifestyle.
Juliette was named Springfield's Youth of the Year in January, and along with this honor received a $16,000 college scholarship. The Missouri title provides an additional $4,000 in scholarship money.
Juliette will now go on to compete to be named Midwest Regional Youth of the Year. Six finalists will advance to compete for the national honor.
Juliette is a wonderful young woman, who serves a leader in her club, her home and her school. “My favorite thing about being a club member is being surrounded by people who are like family, who help me continue to grow as a person," she said.
“Juliette is a remarkable young woman. She is truly one of the most resilient people I have ever met,” said Club CEO Brandy Harris. “During the Youth of the Year process, she worked so hard to be vulnerable and share her story in order to help others. I am so proud of her and cannot wait to see the remarkable things she does.”
