Sunni Nutt

Sunni is a cheerful soul, passionate about leadership, yoga, and creating a safe space for youth & staff members.

Sunni has her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in nonprofit and civic leadership. Before joining the BGCS team in 2022, she worked for several years in the nonprofit industry, supporting domestic violence survivors and their families. Sunni also has a 200-hour yoga teaching certification and enjoys teaching yoga in the community.

Having experienced acute trauma as a child, Sunni understands the importance of providing safe, supportive, trusted adults for youth experiencing similar realities. She is passionate about providing opportunities for individuals to grow, learn and change their lives for the better.

Sunni and her husband Cody live in Springfield with their many “fur children”- two cats, Penny & Prudence; two dogs; Pluto & Bowie Dandelion; and four chickens, Megg, Beth, Amy and Elloween. She is a lover of houseplants, books, sunshine, camping, hiking, scary movies and naps.
